Design.
Delicately packed in its elegant and compact design is Huawei’s MatePad T10 which offers a 9.7-inch HD display, light and portable body and which you can take your favourite apps, games and videos in your hands, to start an immersive visual journey wherever you like.
Display.
In front is a 1280 x 800, 16:10 aspect ratio LCD display which gets bright enough indoors but it may struggle under direct sunlight. The colors of the panel are decent though if you plan to consume HDR content this may be a challenge and you will want to look elsewhere. Here at Phones & Tablets Kenya we recommend that you view the display directly and not from an angle as the viewing angles from the sides are not the best.
Edition Camera.
The main Camera is 5MP f/2.2 with PDAF. In daylight, it produces vibrant colored images with decent sharpness and acceptable contrast. Don’t expect it to perform well in low light. You can use your other device’s camera instead. The front-facing camera is a 2MP f/2.4 with camera modes that include Photo, Video, and Beauty. In both outdoors and indoors, the selfie camera images are soft and somewhat muddy while the colour is okay. The camera app has the following modes: Photo, Video, Beauty, Pro, HDR, and Panorama.
Performance.
Under the hood is the 14nm Kirin 710A octa-core processor, Mali-G51 MP4, 2GB RAM, and 32GB of storage. The 14nm Kirin 710A octa-core processor is one of the fastest on budget Android tablets today but don’t expect it to run games at maximum graphics or maximum frame rates.
Software.
Under the hood is EMUI 10.1 with Huawei Mobile Services. This enables you to download your apps from Huawei App Gallery which is the third-largest app ecosystem in the world. With the Huawei’s Petal Search, you can search for apps that don’t come in the App Gallery. Also, Huawei Petal Search can create a shortcut on the home screen that links to the web-based version of the service or app you are accessing.
Ideal Children Companion.
Huawei MatePad T10 allows your kids to explore freely with age-appropriate content via exclusive access to Kids Corner. It also goes further with four-layered protection to preserve their precious sight.
Battery
Inside is a 5,100mAh battery which enables the tablet to last over 12 hours and 42 minutes. The included 5W charger charges the internal 5,100mAh battery for over 5 hours. This battery is a better option than X-Tigi Kids 9 Pro, but not that huge as seen in Nokia T20 Tablet and also gets competition from some smartphones such as Tecno Pova 5G and Tecno Pova 2.
